Instructions for removal of hard contact lenses using the DMV rVersa
Plunger and Ring Assembly from IvisionC.
Before you start, wash your hands with warm water and soap (no lotion or fragrances).
Then dry your hands thoroughly with a clean, lint-free towel. To safely remove your lenses, please read and follow all instructions below.
Open the ziplock bag. You will see a pink container and two ring assemblies (a black ring and a red silicone ring). Clean the plunger and ring assembly using two separate presaturated pads with 70% isopropyl alcohol.
The second ring and plunger is a spare for later use. Store in the ziplock bag provided and store in a cool dry place.
The plunger manufacturer recommends replacing the plunger about every six months.
Place a dental bib or clean towel below where you plan to remove the lens so that if it falls it will land on a clean, soft surface.
Holding the cleaned DMV r Versa plunger, align the suction cup so it is positioned in front of and at a slight angle to the eye. (If you do not position the suction cup correctly, taking the lens out may be difficult.
When you feel the suction cup touch the lens in your eye, apply very gentle pressure and the lens will adhere to the lens.
Twist the plunger about a half turn and slowly remove the lens. I recommend carefully sliding the lens sideways. The lens should then fall off and land on your dental bib or clean towel.
If you need further guidance, please consult your eyecare professional.
Clean the pink container (inside and out) and plunger with a 70% isopropyl alcohol pad.
If by accident, you touch the plunger directly to your eye and have trouble removing it, move the plunger to the outside corner of your eye and turn it. You should then easily be able to remove the plunger.
Never sleep with your contact lens in!
Do not use this product for diseased or injured eyes unless advised by your eye doctor.
This product contains natural latex rubber.
